We extend a truly heart-felt NES/GES Elementary School Welcome! to your student and your family – both to returning families and to families who are new to our community. We invite you to be our partners in the education of your child and to actively support your child’s education. It is our belief that as long as the school and home work together, we will be able to provide a quality educational experience for every child.
The staff works hard to build a positive relationship between the school and the home. This relationship must involve two-way communication, with mutual trust and respect between both parties. Communication between parents and teachers is critical to making a working educational team. We ask that you always talk directly to your child’s teachers and express any compliments, comments, or concerns you may have to them. Your child’s classroom teacher is the person most qualified to share day-to-day observations of your child’s progress in school.
Gaeta and Naples Elementary Schools are child-centered schools with the very important mission of preparing all students for success in the global environment. You can help to make a good school better, and support your GES/NES student’s success, by becoming involved in your community school. Some wonderful ways of becoming involved in your child’s education are by volunteering in the classroom, serving as a mentor for a student in need, (contact the main office to be put in contact with the Mentoring &/or PIE Coordinator), supporting the Partnership In Excellence (PIE) Program with a variety of educational programs, joining the Parent Teacher Association, or attending School Advisory Committee (SAC) meetings.
We constantly seek out ways to provide a pleasant, safe, meaningful and stimulating educational environment for our students. If you have suggestions or recommendations, let us know. It is the collective work of the students, their parents, and the teachers that make a good school great. Together, we can make School Year 2007-2008 the best that Naples and Gaeta Elementary Schools have ever seen.
